Volunteer Travel in Kenya

26 Days Volunteer for Wildlife.

Day 1: Nairobi-Wagusu.
Briefing and transfer to wagusu by a bus, departing from Nairobi at around 0800hrs, on arrival, converge at wagusu resourse center for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Wagusu Community Work 
After breakfast, guided orientation in the center and villages. Introduction to the people in the community and general information with the local eco-system, rural community structure and customs all meals and night at the resource center.

Day 3: -15= Wagusu Community Work 
Day 3 is the exodus of community service and continues through to day 15 , depending on your area of specialization, you will have the opportunity, to deliver your services to the best of your ability in the following areas: H.B.C, B.C.C, Teaching, Environmental Conservation, Children program (orphans & the vulnerable), girl child program and farming. ( please advise ) -this is aimed at ensuring that the community benefits through our community service projects. 
-it also provides genuine cross-cultural interaction between participants and the locals.
Note: Those programs will be tailored according to your special interest and capability, all meals and night at the resource center.

Day 16: Wagusu Community farewell party: 
-Volunteers and members of the community get together and celebrate for having successfully worked together and pass a vote of thanks, all meals and night at the resource center.

Day 17: Wagusu-Lake Nakuru.
Transfer from wagusu to Nakuru and check in at Chester Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 18: Lake Nakuru.
After breakfast we proceed to Lake Nakuru National park one of the shallow soda lake within the rift valley system that has been described as an ornithologists paradise and one of the worlds most magnificent sights. Its known for millions of flamingoes, its a rhino sanctuary and also has other plain game. Dinner and overnight in Nakuru.

Day 19 : Lake Nakuru-Masaai Mara
After breakfast we head further south to Narok town for lunch then proceed to masaai Mara Game Reserve arriving in the afternoon for game drive in this wonderfull game reserve. Dinner and night at the campsite.

Day 20: Maasai Mara:
Spend the whole day viewing the animals in this tree studded grassland and rolling hills. This park is also known for the big five including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and either cheater or leopards. Meals and overnight at the campsite.

Day 21:Masaai Mara-Nairobi
Pre-breakfast game-drive. After late breakfast, leave Maasai Mara for Nairobi, lunch en-route arriving late afternoon, for an overnight in Nairobi Youth Hostel.

Day 22: Nairobi-Mombasa.
Take a night bus or train to Mombassa and connect to Tiwi Beach Resort for your 
Kenya Beach Holiday.

Day 23: Tiwi Beach Resort accommodation on B/B
Day 24: Tiwi Beach Resort accommodation on B/B
Day 25: Tiwi Beach Resort accommodation on B/B
Day 26: Tiwi Beach Resort-Nairobi.

Requirements:


  • Must be 18 yrs and over
  • Child below 18 yrs must be accompanied.
  • No special experts or skills required except in teaching, health, marketing and office management
  • Have a positive attitude and be flexible to adjust to the living conditions at the community.
  • English speaking

Who can volunteer in Children Program?
Anyone who has passion for the children and would love to share their love, care and support that the children need. Knowledge, talents and skills may be required in Early Childhood Development, art work, teaching, food and nutrition, outdoor games, Counseling and babysitting.
