There are a huge number of children in Kenya who are either partially or totally orphaned and vulnerable due to HIV-AIDS in Kenya, they don’t get basic neccessities like food clothing access to education and even shelter.

23 Days Volunteer Adventure Experience.

Day 1: JKIA-Nairobi Hotel
Pick up from JKIA to be dropped in your Nairobi Hotel.

Day 2: 3 hrs Nairobi City Tour
Orientation within Nairobi city on local culture, history and customs. The tour covers the modern city center, the National Museum and the adjacent snake park, Parliament Buildings, the Railway Museum where old steam locomotives are exhibited including the one from which superintendent John Lyall was taken from by a man-eating lion in Tsavo 1901.

You will also visit the Nairobi city market where a wide variety of African curios and tropical fruit and flowers are on sale, ending with a visit to the Kenyatta International Conference Centre view-point which has a revolving restaurant. After excursion spend 2 hrs on pre-depature orientation at the Nairobi Youth Hostel.

Day 3: Nairobi-Placement
Transfer to the project by a shared bus, departing from Nairobi at around 0800hrs, will be met by our field manager at the bus stop.

Day 4: Community Orientation
Volunteers will be introduced to the staff programs and the host family in case of home stay accommodation then start work.

Day 5-18: Community Work
Is the exodus of community service and continues through to day 9, depending on your area of specialization, you’ll have the opportunity, to deliver your services to the best of your ability, visit the surrounding areas during your free time and explore the nature, culture and life of Kenya with the support of our local field staff. All meals and night at the resource center/home

Day 18: Community Farewell
Volunteers and members of the community get together and celebrate for having successfully worked together and pass a vote of thanks, exchanging gifts all, meals and night at the resource center:

Day 19: Placement-Lake Nakuru.
Transfer from your placement to Nakuru and check in at Chester Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 20: Lake Nakuru.
After breakfast we proceed to Lake Nakuru National park one of the shallow soda lake within the rift valley system that has been described as “an ornithologist’s paradise and one of the world’s most magnificent sights”. It’s known for millions of flamingos, it’s a rhino sanctuary and also has other plain game. Dinner and overnight in Nakuru.

Day 21 : Lake Nakuru-Masaai Mara
After breakfast we head further south to Narok town for lunch then proceed to masaai Mara Game Reserve arriving in the afternoon for game drive in this wonderful game reserve. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 22: Maasai Mara:
Spend the whole day viewing the animals in this tree studded grassland and rolling hills. This park is also known for the big five including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and either cheater or leopards. Meals and overnight at the campsite.

Day 23:Masaai Mara-Nairobi
Pre-breakfast game-drive. After late breakfast, leave Maasai Mara for Nairobi, lunch en-route arriving late afternoon to end your adventure experience.

PROGRAM COST USD 1580 PER PERSON.

Requirements:
* Must be 18 yrs and over
* Child below 18 yrs must be accompanied.
* No special experts or skills required except in teaching, health, marketing and office management
* Have a positive attitude and be flexible to adjust to the living conditions at the community.
* English speaking
